Color Guard
Color Guard is a unique and enriching activity often referred to as “The Sport of the Arts” by Winter Guard International. Combining the athleticism of sports with the elegance and storytelling of the performing arts, Color Guard demands skill, creativity, and dedication.

Marching Season
At Odessa High School, the OHS Colorguard is an integral part of the band program, proudly holding the record for the longest consecutive Division 1 ratings in Texas. As the largest visual element of the marching band, the OHS Color Guard enhances performances with striking visuals and emotional storytelling. Utilizing flags, rifles, sabers, dance, and theatrics, they bring music to life, offering audiences a captivating visual representation of the band’s sound.
Winter Guard
In the spring, the OHS Winter Guard embarks on its own competitive season, showcasing their talents indoors against some of the most skilled groups across the nation. They proudly participate in the North Texas Colorguard Circuit (NTCA), where they have consistently demonstrated their exceptional abilities. In 2024, they achieved remarkable success by being promoted three times from RAA to Scholastic A. Moreover, they make it to the NTCA Winter Guard State finalists, a testament to their exceptional skill and artistry.
This season hold special significance as it marks the first time ever that Odessa High School Winter Guard will perform in four Winter Guard International (WGI) events.
